Husky Rugby Alumni Weekend is shaping up to be one of the biggest weekends of the year, and we need the full Husky Rugby community to be part of it. From a Friday night doubleheader, to the Purple & Gold Fundraiser Dinner on Saturday, to touch rugby on Sunday, this weekend is all about celebrating the program while helping build its future. Tickets are live now, and there are multiple ways to get involved, whether you can attend in person or support from afar.
Friday: Start the Weekend at the Matches
The weekend kicks off on Friday, April 24 with a great night of rugby at Starfire Sports in Tukwila. Come out for the 4:00 PM UW vs. CWU match, then cheer on Seattle for the 7:00 PM Seattle Seawolves vs. Chicago Hounds matchup. It’s a great chance to rally with fellow Huskies, support the team, and kick off Alumni Weekend the right way.
Saturday: Purple & Gold Fundraiser Dinner
On Saturday, April 25, join us for the Purple & Gold Fundraiser Dinner at Stone Way Auto (3621 Stone Way N, Seattle, WA 98103). Doors open at 4:)0 PM, and the evening features an open bar, live auction, silent auction, and a full program dedicated to supporting Husky Rugby. This is one of the most important nights of the year for the program, and every ticket purchased helps fund travel, scholarships, equipment, and more.
There are several ticket options available, including:
- Individual tickets
- Sponsor a graduating player
- Standard tables
- Sponsor a table
If you’ve been thinking about coming, now’s the time to lock it in.
Can’t Attend? You Can Still Make a Big Impact
Even if you can’t make it to Alumni Weekend in person, there are still meaningful ways to support the program. One of the biggest ways is by donating an item for the live auction. The event page already features examples like a Husky Rugby Work Party, an Oregon Coast Beach House Stay, and Beresford & Booth Estate Planning, and more items are still being added. Auction donations help create an exciting event while directly supporting the future of Husky Rugby.
If you would like to donate an item or learn more, please reach out to Kevin Fuller at president@huskyrugby.com.
Sunday: Keep the Weekend Going
Alumni Weekend wraps up on Sunday, April 26 with a Touch Rugby Session from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM. Whether you want to jump in, spectate, or heckle the old boys from the sideline, it’s a fun way to close out the weekend and spend more time with the Husky Rugby community.
Be There. Support the Program. Help Build What’s Next.
Alumni Weekend is more than just a great few days, it’s one of the most important moments of the year for bringing together alumni, families, players, and supporters around the future of Husky Rugby. Whether you purchase tickets, attend the matches, join the Purple & Gold Dinner, sponsor a player, become a sponsor, or donate an auction item, every action helps move the program forward.
