Once you submit your form, Coach Will will personally reach out to learn more about your goals, answer any questions you have, and talk through what it’s like to be part of the Husky Rugby program. It’s your chance to connect directly and explore the next steps toward joining the team.
Helpful Tips When Applying
A minimum 3.0 GPA is recommended to stay competitive. Strong academics are central to success at UW and reflect your readiness for college-level work.
Rugby isn’t part of admissions, but it can still strengthen your story. If it’s shaped your character or leadership, include it in your personal essay to show why UW is the right fit for you.
Some UW majors are highly competitive. Strengthen your application by also considering open or minimum-requirement majors as alternative pathways.

In addition to team-based support, the University of Washington offers a wide range of financial aid options — including grants, loans, work-study programs, and campus-wide scholarships — across all three campuses (Seattle, Tacoma, and Bothell).
