Husky Rugby Adds Veo Technology Thanks to Alumni Support
Thanks to the generosity of alumni and supporters, Husky Rugby has added the Veo AI camera system.

This season, the Husky Rugby Team is proud to announce the addition of the Veo AI camera system, made possible through the generous support of our alumni and donors. This cutting-edge technology represents a major step forward for the program, enhancing both the player experience and the way our community engages with Husky Rugby.
The Veo system uses artificial intelligence to automatically track the flow of the game, capturing every key moment without the need for a dedicated camera operator. With its live-streaming capabilities, families, friends, and alumni—whether across town, out of state, or around the world—can now tune in and be part of the action on game day like never before. This connection is especially meaningful for parents and alumni who want to share in the energy and spirit of Husky Rugby no matter where they are.
Beyond fan engagement, Veo provides a powerful tool for player development and team performance. The system tags critical moments throughout each match—such as scrums, line-outs, kickoffs, and tries—allowing players and coaches to easily review and analyze game footage. This makes film sessions more efficient, helping athletes quickly identify areas for improvement and celebrate key successes. By integrating Veo into our toolkit, Husky Rugby is taking film study and tactical preparation to the next level.
Importantly, Veo will complement our alumni-donated drone, affectionately named “Cheezer.” While Veo provides seamless match coverage, Cheezer continues to play a vital role in training, offering unique overhead perspectives that sharpen player awareness and team strategies. Together, these tools are elevating Husky Rugby on and off the field, ensuring that our players are equipped with resources comparable to elite programs across the country.
The addition of Veo was made possible thanks to the continued generosity of our alumni and supporters. Your contributions don’t just provide equipment—they directly impact the growth, development, and visibility of Husky Rugby. With innovations like Veo, the program is better positioned to compete, connect, and inspire both the current generation of Huskies and those still to come.
