Match Report: Western Washington University
The Huskies fought hard against the Vikings for the final match of the fall semester.

UW fell 74–0 to a strong WWU side that controlled the match from the opening whistle. WWU’s physicality at the breakdown and pace in the backline put UW under pressure throughout, leading to repeated scoring opportunities for the Vikings. Despite the lopsided result, UW showed moments of resilience on defense and continued to battle through the full 80 minutes. The team will regroup, address execution and discipline, and prepare for the next fixture with a focus on improvement and consistency.
In the wake of last weeks loss to Oregon, UW’s senior group has stepped up in a big way. They’ve led team meetings, opened honest conversations about expectations, and pushed the squad to shift its focus from just chasing wins to building a stronger long-term foundation. Their message has been clear: results matter, but the culture they leave behind matters more. By setting standards, supporting younger players, and taking ownership of the program’s direction, the seniors are helping guide the club through a needed cultural reset—one aimed at ensuring future Huskies are set up to grow, compete, and thrive.
FIRST XV FINAL SCORE: 0-74
SECOND XV FINAL SCORE: 0-46
