Introducing 3 Incoming Recruits

Torin Cosgrove brings nine years of rugby experience developed across both England and Connecticut. At UW, we see him as an inside back capable of playing fly-half, inside center, or outside center. At 6'0" and 195 pounds, Torin combines size with extensive experience from programs including Old Alleynians, Aspetuck Rugby Club, and Staples High School, along with Connecticut All-State recognition. He has also attended rugby camps at West Point, Dartmouth, the Naval Academy, and EIRA. Off the field, Torin holds a 3.6 GPA, plans to study Environmental Science, earned a Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, and has received national recognition for his photography.

Eddie Hefti is a versatile local recruit from Fall City who projects as a scrumhalf or utility back at UW. His arrival represents an important early connection between UW Rugby and the emerging Snoqualmie Valley Wildcats, a relationship we are eager to develop as the club continues to grow and produce talented local players. Eddie has already represented the Eastern Washington select side and earned the Wildcats’ Finnau Award, an impressive start to his young rugby career. He also carries a 3.8 GPA, is a National Merit Commended Scholar, and participates in jazz band and classical ensembles, bringing strong academic achievement, creativity, and adaptability to UW.

Luke Disney is a powerful multi-sport athlete from Junipero Serra High School who projects as a loose forward at UW. At 6'2" and 205 pounds, Luke brings the size, physicality, and athleticism developed through varsity football, varsity volleyball, and two years of rugby experience. He has primarily played flanker and scrumhalf, giving him a useful combination of forward toughness and ball-handling experience. Luke holds a 3.7 GPA and has earned Principal’s List honors every semester. He is interested in Law, Societies, and Justice and Environmental Science, while also volunteering with a local food pantry, supporting land-conservation efforts, and participating in ethics bowl.
